Neomobile Innovation Lab at Circeo (Italy)

We cannot solve a problem by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them. [A. Einstein]

When working in a world of innovation like mobile, it is important to go at full speed ahead in order to stay on top of the game. But, it is also essential to stand still and reflect at the right moment to ensure you stay on the right track…
For Neomobile the Future Lab is one of those moments. Since 2008 our Top Management organizes together with the Neomobile directors an outdoor session where results, targets and strategy of the Company are shared and assessed. This year, for the first time, also the Senior Managers joined Directors and Executives for the ex “Future Lab”, now renamed Innovation Lab.

Last September at Circeo (a seaside town close to Rome), all participants were invited by our Corporate Coach Mauro Cuomo (together with another experienced coach Antonio Russo) to break the daily operations and focus on INNOVATION, keeping in mind 2 important corporate values:

  1. Passion: trying to reinforce the sense of being ‘Neomobiler’, the innovation mindset and willingness to improve and change.
  2. Individual performance: promote group dynamics yet at the same time challenging individuals to reach the highest personal score while changing teams.

Our managers and directors lived 2 days of outdoor activities such as games, competition and sports mixed with indoor creative team work and inspirational trainings.

One of the highlights of this years’ event was the inspirational contribution of speech of Pierluigi Collina (one of the most reputed referees in the world) who talked about the importance of being prepared to take the right decision at the right moment while aware of the circumstances and consequences.

But all work and no play make Jack a dull boy! The Innovation Lab also tries to provide a moment of relax with colleagues in a seaside environment, from the early morning running and walking to the afternoon swimming till the night songs and drinks!

Last but not least, the winners of the individual performance award were able to celebrate their victory with a personal prize, a dedicated budget to spend on personal… passion!
One of the winners, Valentina Tranquilli, Advertising Offer Director, was enthusiast to dedicate her award to her biggest passion: Juventus! Together with 2 colleagues she attended the Champions League game Juventus-Galatasaray!

I figured the best way to invest my passion award was with a soccer team that is all about sharing his passion with their fans. I think the Juventus stadium is one of the most beautiful stadiums in the world, because it is built in such a way that it gives you that feeling of being in the field and part of the game. On top of that it is filled with museums, shops and entertainment before the game. Together with Daniele and Annamaria we had a great time! Thanks Neomobile!
