Like many of our talented employees at Neomobile, Vladimiro Bilancetti has grown as a professional and changed his role within the company. Today he works as a Business Intelligence Manager at our office in Rome, Italy. The following interview takes place during his previous role as a Process & Intelligence Sr Specialist. Given his international work experience, his expertise and his passion, this month we’re interviewing Vladimiro Bilancetti, Neomobile’s Process and Intelligence Sr Specialist, as a great representative of our International Company. Meet him and read his story!”
How did you end up at Neomobile?
In 2011, after almost 5 years working in the marketing and sales sector of two main Italian furnishing companies, I was looking for new challenges. One day my girlfriend called me and told me “I think that this Company (Neomobile) is tailor-made for you.” So I applied, and after three job interviews, I got hired.
What are your roles within the company?
My main responsibility is to lead a team dedicated to filtering and elaborating reliable data in order to derive knowledge, value and support our business decisions, especially in terms of profitability.
However, in the last months my work has changed. I’m not just in charge of media and business reporting, monitoring and analysis, sharing best practices among countries, but I’m also following some specifics projects related to our 2015 business growth.
What do you love most about your job?
The trust in my superior and the passion of my colleagues, the capacity to make fast decisions, the opportunity to grow and improve while doing my job (I learn something new every week), the possibility to schedule and organize my work plan, to share information, being able to help other people, the dynamic environment and simply doing what I like the most.
What is the most interesting project you have worked on?
During this period, I’m following several projects that will improve our position as the best monetization partner in 2015. One of the most interesting parts is staying constantly updated, follow new trends and understanding our competitor’s positioning.
You are a clear example of internationality and dynamism because you started working at our HQ in Rome and then, after only three months, you were relocated to Mexico for two years. Tell us about this experience.
Yes, after only 3 months in Rome I moved to Mexico City where I spent almost 2 years. I am grateful to the company for an international experience that allowed me to grow professionally.
Tell us about the importance of Neomobile’s Process & Intelligence Team.
Our added value is related to the daily analysis we provide to local teams in order to help them make strategic decisions and operational actions. Moreover, we provide analytic tools in order to optimize the main marketing and business KPIs: therefore I’d say that our role is mainly analytical. At the same time, our Intelligence work is also fundamental. We study the market, our competitors and processes, which allows us to share the best and worst practices among countries. We are a point of reference, almost a lodestar for strategic and operational activities in countries. The countries that have understood this have benefited more than others. Now, the key is to optimize the communication flow, making it more linear and efficient than ever.
What has been the most satisfying part of your work?
It is really satisfying seeing the positive results of certain studied actions based on our analysis. We can check it immediately; we work in a market that gives us the ability to see a campaign’s performance in real time.
What role have your colleagues and managers played in your professional development?
They are pivotal. I had the opportunity to work with people who work much better than me in many areas, so I had the opportunity to observe their work and learn, and, in a certain way, ‘steal’ some of their skills. I also hope I have transmitted something positive in return.
What is your take on the potential growth within the mobile commerce sector?
We are all aware that the world is mobile, and it is pretty clear, that smartphones are everywhere, the app economy is booming, mobile advertising is exploding, social life and music are now mostly on mobile, and we spend at least 1 hour daily using our phone. I think that the increase of mobile data traffic will be exponential in the upcoming years.
And, please, let me also say that we have incredible growth potential, and as representatives of Italian excellence, we should keep growing, explore new markets every year, transforming obstacles into opportunities, look for new merger or acquisition opportunities, and attract investors and new talents to the Company. In any case, I’m sure that the best is yet to come!
What do you like about Neomobile and what would you recommend to people who want to work at our company?
Neomobile is a fast growing company, and all the young people that are working in it are also growing with it. Here you really can do what you are passionate about and be rewarded for your work. Neomobile is a meritocratic company and it is a great example of Italian business around the world. I am proud to be part of it. When I see Neomobile’s logo, I see the Italian flag in the world.
